Highlights: After a tough overtime loss in Tuesday’s opener, the Falcons scored seven goals in the first quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Giants.

Highlights:  The Hawks started at a simmer with a score of 4-2 at halftime, but things soon came to a boil, scoring nine unanswered goals in the second half. Strong defensive stands and tough transition play made the difference. Hopkinton’s offense produced many good opportunities in quick succession that left the ILM squad scrambling to cover up open players. The Lakers played tough and challenged the ball every step of the way, while creating nice scoring opportunities, but  Boissy stood strong and turned away barrages of high-quality shots.

The guys responded well to some necessary adjustments and really found their rhythm in the second half. Highlights: Alex Turant earned the win on the mound and Josh Turant drove home the game’s first run in the second inning. Fancher hit a solo home run in the third and had an RBI single in the fifth. Concord added another in the top of the sixth on a solo home run by Chabolowski. The Tide broke the game open in the top of the seventh with Coffey doubling to score a run, Martin drawing a walk to score a run and Josh Turant connecting on a two-run double.

Highlights: The Bears held a 4-2 lead through doubles, and Larson-Clarke and Heigis won 8-3 at No. 1 doubles to secure the victory.
